A visit to Melbourne Zoo ....

On Sat. we decided to take the boys to the zoo. It was January when we had visited last, and thought that the boys would enjoy more now they were older - esp. Jon. Boy were we right!

Jonathan kept cracking us up with his Ohhhhhhhhhhh (mouth wide open and gazing at the animals) - Check out the pic!!LOL.

Both Mitch and Cam wanted to find the lions as soon as we arrived - only to find them asleep. Our luck was with us though at the end of the day. Not only were they awake - but they were ROARING. they seemed to be chatting to each other - so I would hate to hear them when in full territory mode. That roar was LOUD!.

A favourite was also the butterfly enclosure. The boys were facinated by the amount of butterflies landing on people. We only had one land on Jon's pusher. Their squeels of delight were contagious!

Like any day when the boys have to walk around - they tired reasonably quickly, so it was soon time to head home, checking out the animals on the way out again.
