Springtime = flowers

or will be if these little plants are allowed to live. Today's holiday fun found us out on a seach for seedlings today. ended up at Bunnings as they have a few cheaper brands... Cameron has been hounding me for some little plants to grow in a pot. For HIM to look after,. not me - just HIM.
Mitchell just wants to do some "gardening" . So this morning we bought our little goodies, and started planting them out this afternoon. Mitchell and Jonathan were also wanting a pot, so I scrounged around for some more pots for them , then got into it.

Gosh they all love to garden. It is really nice to see. I grew up with a keen gardener in my mum - and her mum was a nurserywoman/florist so visiting Nan's house ALWAYS mean repotting of something.

so four full pots later, grubby faces, grubby hands and some extra plants in the garden we were all finished. It wasn't all calm and cool though. Cam fussed up a huge tantrum when Mitchell tried to help fill Cam's pot. And as for me choosing some seedlings for his pot!!!??? The tears and stomping of his foot meant he had to have some time out for a few minutes. He is so much harder to reason with than either of the other two ...

So now we have another area to water with our recyled water ... mmm let's hope for some more rain soon. Also hooked the washing machine up to the black pipes again today - the first time in ages. I would dearly like to get ourselves a water tank - however the best fit for the area it could go into, means a more expensive thinner tank , which = more $$$ so we will need to keep it on our wish list for the moment.
Our vegie garden is nearly ready for a change of crops. Just waiting for the lettuce, caulies and peas to finish, then in goes the beans and tomatoes.... mmmm YUM
